Newbie, organizing the inherited collection
« on: November 29, 2013, 06:09:36 PM »
Hi,
Just a brief introduction here before I begin posting pictures and asking questions.
I am organizing my father's and my grandfather's collection of tools and will need help identifying and possibly valuing some of them.
They weren't collectors really, but they amassed a pretty large collection of working tools.
I have been cleaning/organizing their garage for a few years and have finally started to get down to the details of the tools.
Thanks in advance for educating me.
Shawn

He welcome to the group.

As papaw said it looks like you have quite a few tools.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

The 2 Barcalo wenchs are my favorites. Put likes with likes and clean as you go. On steel I like a fine wire wheel.  Also blasting lightly with a non abrasive media works well.   Chuck Garrett
