Dispersion of my entire collection.
« on: November 22, 2013, 12:23:46 PM »
My life is at a point that I will probably need to sell my entire collection of farm implement and buggy wrenchs. What is the protocol of a wrench auction? I don't know what the MVWC does in these examples. Is there a set fee or by percentage? I have over 1000 pcs. Some very rare. Please advise.

I'd contact Bus as I believe he is the best in setting up a wrench auction. I would strongly advise having a cataloged auction. Don't know the cost of having your collection cataloged but believe it pays off in the outcome of the sale. Attended a local collectors uncataloged sale a couple of years ago and believe they lost many bids because you couldn't tell what you were bidding on.

By all means contact Bus Haury and Stan Schulz! They will get you on the right track and get you lots of bidders.
