Hello from So. California
« on: October 13, 2013, 01:42:21 AM »
Hi all, new guy here. I found your forum while searching for "rare tools". I guess that could be takin a couple of different ways :). A little about myself, as you can see I have a bit of a twisted sense of humor, all meant in good fun. I'm an Automotive Service Manager, been in automotive for 20 years. My father was a mechanic, cabinet maker and retired as an experimental machinist in the defense industry so you can imagine the amount of tools I grew up with and have also inherited. I love tools, especially vintage tools. I'm an avid collector of wrenches, Plomb and Craftsman being my favorite (I grew up on Craftsman). I also enjoy restoring vintage machinery and currently working on a couple of Craftsman Table Saws.  I spend a freakishly large amount of time over at the garage journal, another forum on the world wide net and look forward to spending time here as well.
so many tools, so little time.

Hello and welcome from Wisconsin. How did you ever get one of the Snap On models to pose for a Craftsman ad?

Howdy from Southern Arkansas, and Welcome!  I think you'll find you do NOT stand alone with an automotive background.  Nice picks on branding.

Hello, and welcome.   Sounds like you already have an impressive pile of tools.   So do you go looking for particular items, brands?
