pedestal forge blower who is the maker?
« on: September 25, 2013, 11:04:17 AM »
Well I thought it was a Canedy Otto, sort of looks like it but no name in the casting.  just lube instructions. Could it be a C-O made for the Army? got to clean out the muddawber nests 1st! make some new legs 4 L shaped tubes.  2 pics of the business side other is plain cast iron and hole for the air input.

Thread on iforgeiron says the blowers marked 997/998 are in fact Canedy Otto, a lower end model branded as Star or Tiger.....
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Definitely Canedy-Otto. Gearbox for them is distinctive, as well as the casting marks mentioned. I have one just like it, but just marked canedy otto, not tiger or star.
