Pexto Screw driver age?
« on: July 15, 2013, 08:09:40 PM »
I got this with several 40's jeep items. My question is , what era is from , and could it be a Jeep tool?
There is a 6 or 9 stamped in it.
Thanks for any help
Roy

I think its the right era. If 1930 or so is the right timeframe. I doubt it was an official Jeep tool though. Probably a replacement for a lost one.

These are kind of unusual to replace the scales on. I've only done a couple and they were slightly weird both times.

Thanks Scott. Yes they are different from all the other two piece wood handle screw drivers that I have.
I know that Jeep had this style , but I never read any thing that said Pexto was a maker.
The rest of the items I got with this were from the 1943 time period.
Probably just a tool someone had laying around and tossed it in with the other stuff.
I'll have to find it a new home , or put it on the board with the others.
thanks again.
