Back to tshirts
« on: July 15, 2011, 07:33:47 PM »
I have found a good local guy to make tshirts and am ready to go forward with it. I propose to have a quantity made to order, and have decided to have only one color at this time. The shirts will be good quality Gildan shirts with a pocket. The crossed wrench logo will be on the pocket with the rest of the logo above the pocket. I don't want to go further on styles and such yet, since there are too many variables to consider.
Now the question is- how many members will buy a shirt?
The printer has assured me that they can be printed at a price that will allow them to be under $20 each shipped. More than one of course would mean shipping could be less per shirt.
I don't intend to make money on these.

I would like one. Unfortunately due to shrinkage, I NEED a 4X TALL, and most print places don’t/wont have a 4X TALL. One wash on a regular 4x T shirt and I am showing more belly than a teenage girl, without the pleasurable view.
A 3X TALL carhartt T will fit but that is an ultra premium preshrunk fabric.

What's the largest you can get? A 3X or 4X would be prefered due to shrinkage. I'll take one.

When do you need the final numbers. If I can afford it, I'll get 2.

Waiting for the printer to approve the artwork. I will let everyone know as soon as I can, and pretty sure the BIG sizes will be available, they will be Gildan shirts, and they do offer all sizes.

Next week I will compile a list of those interested and post it in this thread. The printer has asked a few questions and I think will be ready to start in less than two weeks. The price now looks like we can keep the cost to members at $20 per shirt shipped. In truth, that price will leave me a dollar or two on each that I can use to improve the selection later, or put toward forum expenses.
