Billings 1920's vintage socket wanted
« on: May 04, 2011, 10:10:16 AM »
I am looking for a Billings & Spencer (B & S) socket that went with B & S Ratchet Socket Wrench Sets No. 51, 52, or 53.  The attached picture gives an ideal of what the socketI am looking for looks like. The tang is a solid, 1/2 inch square male end. The clincher is the symbol, B inscribed within a triangle.  The socket I am looking for is the 7/16" one.

I checked the Baker and Hamilton 1949 catalog, and while they carried Billings combination wrenches, the only socket sets were P&C and the house brand, Baker.
