1939 GM Transmission tool

This  6-inch "J-1041" tool was used to remove the snap ring from the main transmission shaft of 1939 Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and 6 and 8-cylinder Pontiacs according to the legend stamped on the tool's shaft. The tool was also stamped: "H - M CO. USA."  Are there more of these out there?

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.
