Two tools to chime in on....

Picked these up last weekend.  The smallish chrome thngy has an internal shaft with fingers that rotate inside the outer set of fingers.  No idea what it does unless it's a nose hair trimmer or  something like that.  If that's it, it looks painful.

The other wrench has small serrations on the lever side but nothing makes sense on the other piece.

Does the wrench have a serrated roller in the top jaw?

(Or is it missing the top jaw? something looks odd here...., why is there a pin?)

The pin definitely holds something in there and roller is as good a guess as any.  Perhaps it is worn down.  No serrations on the roller that I can see, but the tool is made of stamped steel and not forged like most of the Diamond Tools I have collected.  Have not buffed it in search of a logo yet either.  Maybe the next step.  Side view photo coming up....and no logo.....as soon as my nose hair needs trimming, I'll see how the chrome tool works for that job(TMI)

Yep! That is a nose and ear hair trimmer...

 Verrry interesting. Doubt that wear is factor as two side plates should be worn also if that is reason for roller being smaller than side plates. Maybe it gripped something only as wide as roller. It surely must b marked somewhere.

 I think the roller is just a spacer for the two part upper jaw. The serrations on the lower jaw do the gripping. This wrench would fit in the self adjust category like the wrenches shown in the picture above from Vern Nails Wrench Auction I managed in April 2007.  There are numerous different wrenches in this category and most auctions I have done contained several. This stamped steel one would be one of the more cheaply made examples. I doubt it has any connection to the forged Diamond one shown in the picture.
