I see evidence of at least 2 colors of paint

It languished in a damp garage for the last few years, but now spins pretty well.

anyone care to tell me what this did?

I know you roll sheet metal thru it, but to what end?

Appears to be a rotary shear.

It is a beading machine aka burring machine.
Know that little rolled lip on a tin can that the lid is squished into?
Now you can make those too :)
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

That is cool as all get out.

I was gonna guess it was used for roofing tin some how.
