Bike or Auto set??
« on: July 31, 2012, 01:51:16 AM »
These tools came in an auction box I bought and may not be a complete set.  The oly markings are on the prybar/tire changing tool and it "might" say DUNLOP, but it's hard to tell.  It's a strange set, that's for sure.  Haven't checked the sizes for the wrenches.

Thanks for taking a swing at this one

Looks like a set for a motorcycle. I see a spark plug wrench, a spoke wrench, a tire spoon, etc,

Yeah, that makes sense.  The kit is way too heavy for a bicycle kit.

Thanks

How about DUCATI ?
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

My guess is that is a BSA motorcycle tool kit or a Norton I do not have a parts book you will have to search what is missing.  The double boxend should be labeled tw and a part number.  The tire iron dunlap .  It is almost if you have two partial kits from two diffrent bikes, I am weak at british bikes.  I see one or two tools that go in one kit and another tool that looks like it goes in another kit.

Did it come with a bag or case?

Thanks,
Kirk

Nope, not tool roll or case; wouldn't get that lucky this time around.

Thanks

I have found some more info, it is definitely BSA.  The last wrench in this kit is marked BSA.
I still do not know what it goes to.  Here is an example of a bsa kit from the parts book as well.

Thanks,
Kirk

Here is at least one wrench in this set, the seller claims it is from a 1965 bsa.

someone bought a bunch of odd stuff. the smaller open end wrench is German or Austrian.tyre iron would be the Dunlap spoon type. The funny ring spanner is not likely BSA.Never seen one like it. the pouch should be a Naugahyde bag with a draw strap. Larry
