Something a Bit Obscure

Here's something that will hopefully be a bit more challenging.  The brand is Snap-on and it's now an obsolete tool in the sense it's no longer made. Whether it's still useful or not is another matter.

I'll up the ante and say ift was part of a strap wrench rig.  I've got an old Bonney rig like that with only one nub on the non-drive end, but I'm pretty sure it was for removing studs.  Unless my perspective is off, the fully open position doesn't look like it would be wide enough for any belt ewxcept maybe a serpentine belt(and I'd think there would be a market for that these days).

Good thing guessing doesn't cost you brownie points on this forum, cuz I'd lose a lot of money playing Jeopardy!!

To flatten the clamp divot in an exhaust pipe or muffler so that it can be reused.  The knurled part goes on the inside & is turned with a ratchet after tightening it towards the smooth roller.  A little heat on the pipe first also helps.

One of my favorite tools I actually just repaired one about an hour ago. Its used to clamp down onto exhaust pipe attatch a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar to it and bring the pipe back to a true round. Have fun :}
