Welcome indeed.  And we do like pictures here.   I could use some information on dealing with very obstinate button shellac.  My old flakes aren't dissolving well at all, and I'm not having much luck with the new buttons I picked up either.  Used to be the easiest thing ever,  but I seem to have attracted an infestation of shellac gremlins.

Just to show you how ignorant I am...I thought "Luthier" was a guy by the first name "Lex" who was always causing trouble for Superman!

Violins seem WAY too difficult for a poor ol' car-collectin' tool lover like me. I'm looking forward to your posts with photos.
