I'm finding myself constantly challenged with trying to understand acronyms being used here.  I figure if I'm having an issue, there are probably other folks having the same.  I thought it would be nice to have a place to list those (and their meaning) that are common among tool discussions here.  I will do my best to maintain as I see them surface.  Below is my start with this morning's reads:

AA - Alloy Artifacts http://home.comcast.net/~alloy-artifacts/
AFM = Absolute Magic
ATF - Automatic Transmission Fluid
BFH - Big Hammer
COO - Country of Origin.
CL - craigslist.org
DBA - Doing Business As
DBE - Double Box End
DOE - Double Open End
DPO - 1) Dang Previous Owner, 2) Dipstick Previous Owner
FLAPS - Friendly Local Auto Parts Store(Salesperson)
FUBAR = Fouled  up beyond any recognition
GG - Garage Gazette http://www.thegaragegazette.com/
GJ - Garage Journal  http://garagejournal.com/
HDEOMS-  Head Down Eyes Open Mouth Shut
HKP = HK Porter (a company)
HMCOITGF - How Many Change Orders Is This Good For
IIRC  - If I Recall Correctly
IMHO - In My Humble Opinion
ISO - In Search Of
J.A.F.E. - Just Another Explorer
LMAO  - Laughed My Butt Off
LOL - 1) Laugh Out Loud, 2) Lots O Luck

POS - Point of Sale -OR- Piece Of (insert favorite word to describe junk here)
RAHAHB - Relax and have a home brew.
RHFT - Round Head Fine Tooth Ratchet
RTFM - Read the manual
SBE- Single Box End
SDDS - Same Day Different Stuff
SNAFU - Situation Normal All Fouled Up
SO - Snap-On
SWDOBLT- She Who Dreams of Being Listened To
SWMBO - She Who Must Be Obeyed
TAT - Thorsen Allied Tools
WTB - Want To Buy
WTT - Want to Trade

YW - You're Welcome
YVW - You're Very Welcome

I think RHFT would be round head fine tooth ratchet, and another meaning for POS would be a reference to an unloved "piece" :)

DOE=Double open end
DBE=Double box end

Wards Master Quality 1/2" drive sockets (Need size 5/8), long extension, & speeder handle.
-Vlchek WB* series double box wrenches.
-Hinsdale double-box end round shank wrenches.

How about SO-Snap-On, POJ-piece of junk,  crafty-Craftsman, dba-doing business as, in reference to the many many times tools companies changed owners and directions.

I have a large white refridgerator, I named it sue, oh wait,what was this post about again?

PS: How come I can never figure out how to spell refrigerator?
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.
