Happy New Year!
« on: December 31, 2011, 08:49:13 PM »
The seeds planted in the previous year are now bearing fruit.

These are the rewards of dedication to collecting and promoting
awareness of wrenches and other tools in the collecting community,
and a true sign of love and passion for the work we do.

I believe 2011 was a good restart of Tool Talk, and a forerunner of
good things to come.

Our success in continuing the forum has proven our worth
in this niche.

Being at the helm of Tool Talk is both a privilege
and a great responsibility. I am determined to make the
very best of the upcoming year. With our strong, motivated
members working together we can surely make Tool Talk the
best forum of its kind on the net!

On behalf of Tool Talk, I wish you
and your families, a happy and successful 2012.

Happy new year, to all.

May 2012 be a great year for everyone.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

That's me too.  Along with 64longstep and Neals, I think this is already the best forum around.

Happy New Year to everyone on this site.  Many thanks to Noel (Papaw) for persisting with the site, including its revival despite a fierce MES experience in 2011.

I find this site to be educational, and it has widened my appreciation of what floats tool collectors boats. The site also reinforces a belief that tool collecting encourages humility and generosity. (Note: I will still be working on stubbornness in 2012).

We are all about preserving the American past, some of it long past, some not so long past. There is value in that. America has been a bastion of middle class-generated wealth, and the tools we have collected are one proof of that. Americans designed, made, bought, sold, and used these tools. The wealth generated at each step was earned by everyone involved.
