I hope I don't hurt myself but i am thinking.
 How about a person starting a site called pickers and packers or something else
The site would be a middle man for pickers and collectors/ buyers
the buyers list their wants and the pickers list their wares i realize that e-bay does that but this could be strictly tools and related May be charge 15 percent for each when the deal is made , just thinking out loud. a lot of it would have to be on the honor system and that may be the downfall of it  bob w.

It's a great idea, I had a similar one. A smart phone app that would have updated lists, and you could communicate real-time to those in need (or forum user groups), agree on a price and work things out right then and there.

Naturally, I dont have a smart phone and am not interested in paying monthly services for a teeny tiny pc to handle my data needs.

Picking is all about the risks....and sometimes rewards.
