Pre-sears craftsman wrench
« on: July 24, 2022, 09:33:52 AM »
Good morning everyone
I need confirmation that this wrench is a pre-sears craftsman rolled pipe wrench. Some say it isn’t the same craftsman company. I’m finding conflicting research. Patent is 1907. I saw another like this that has a subsequent 1925 patent added, so this is pre-1925

Cope's states, Chraftsman Tool Co. Conneaut, Ohio, Maker of the Craft Wrench. Patented November 12, 1907, by George Heckling. (Patent 870,781)

The same wrench was first made by the Attwood Wrench Tool & Stamping Company, which made the wrench from 1912 to 1913, in 1913 the company name changed to Attwood Mfg. Co. ceased operation in 1914.

I'm not sure if you can tell which company made the wrench.
