Irwin bit set
« on: June 07, 2022, 10:41:26 PM »
Have had this Irwin bit display for some time.  This week began sorting through boxes and bags of  bits that have come my way.  The holder came with 2 rusty bits,  wanted to see if there was enough to fill it.  In 2 hours of digging, was minus the 9/16 and 15/16 .  Then remembered a canvas tool roll I stashed away.  Found 5 more pristine Irwins, which I swapped out the rusty stuff.  All  matching bits now save for a real common size in the middle.   Not researched the age, but the prices make me think early 60s.   Any ideas as to age, or any more out there?

Hardware store display?  I have seen many more in rolls and in wooden boxes than this hanging display.
