Deco design National/Detroit air sander

Sometimes I buy something just because I like it's looks or quality. This piece has both.
I knew nothing about it , thought it was old, like 1950's
Turns out it's the Rolls Royce of air sanders
$900-$1500 new!
My body work days are over, so I'll eventually pass it on
Thought I'd share some photos of a quality piece USA built
I tried to slow it down or stall it with 36 grit paper on it , just kept going
Weighs about 6 pounds.
Interesting thing is that parts are available and rebuild service available
Learned a lot from an inpulse buy
