these were sold a wood turning tools, but even though the handles look right, the business ends have me confused.

Saw similar tools in a 1950s popular mechanics magazine, used to turn copper bowls.

By the ferrule on the handle they look like Boice-Crane tools

i can see shaping type tools , but what are the wheel like tools for? dad always told me the only stupid questions are the ones not asked

makes a rolled edge, similar to a wired edge on a bucket.Now there are  roller tools for spinning I'm in the process of making a set for myself. the  rollers are turned, need heat treating3" diameter about 1" wide  rollers. A couple of pic and a link to a video on turning the rollers, it's short 1:30

If you  google "metal spinning pdf"  Some good old books are online for free and  show the tools and uses. It's kind of fun, but bad shoulders limit what I can do. I'm hoping the roller tools work easier. Getting close to get lathe going and tolls done.
