Brazil tools, carry box
« on: July 09, 2018, 01:47:49 PM »
Today I spied a small metal carry box, not much bigger than the average tackle box.   Brush painted green on the outside, tent roof lids.   Inside is black crinkle finish, with a nice clear Brazil Tools sticker.  Has lift out try obviously made for half inch drive socket set.   Box looks like 1940s or 50s.  Quick google search shows some pliers, but not sockets, price was right but am limited on space now.   Any ideas about this?

Hi john
The sockets for your set should be similar to the tapered wall S-K socket with the knurled band at the bottom. The Brazil's  were chrome with the band and ,marked n/n Chrome-Alloy with a dot on either side. AA shows a pic of them

The boxes are hard to find. Here are some 1/2” drive sockets for that box.

Thanks Don for the help with the pics. I don't think I have as many as you but I do have a few and I didn't have any pics at the ready.
