« on: April 26, 2018, 01:41:16 PM »
Hello, Does anyone recognize this 1/4" Drive set? All pieces are stamped CHROMIUM VANADIUM,sockets also have a knurled band at the bottom. The sockets are also stamped for size. Thanks, Lou

Looks kind of strange with 6, 8, and 12 point sockets.   Wonder if it was bought that way or just "put together".

It's not unusual to see a set made up of all 3 types of broach like this one. My best guess is this set is probably from the late 30's or early 40's as it's not in the cats I have access to.. As you probably all ready surmised you are missing the bar for the breaker.  The closest set I saw to yours is a Duro no.4502 10pc set in a metal box. The difference being a slightly different breaker.

Hello, Bill. Thanks for the heads up. I thought the bar was for a tap wrench. Looks correct, snug fit, one end has the detent ball. Regards, Lou  Oops!!!! forgot the photo in the last post.

Oh!  So you do have the bar, just not shown in the pic? If so you have a complete set. It may or may not have had a box.
