You got it Rusty. When it was setup, it was bolted or nailed to a tree stump that had a big notch cut in it for the handle to swing down into. The frame sticking out of the side was to hold the center of the round saw blank. That is adjustable for different diameters. In operation, the blank was lined up with the jaw of the die, one man pulled down on the handle and if it was a thin blade, he could punch it himself. If it was thicker, then the top of the die was caressed by a 12 or 20 pounder.
