Old new guy. Or is it new old guy
« on: November 02, 2017, 09:31:29 PM »
Good evening all,
Just wanted to intro myself.  I'm a new age hand woodworking enthusiast.  Only took me some 40 odd years.  I've gathered a sizable shop and started down the rabbit hole of traditional hand tools and how to use them.  I'm currently in the process of of restoring a ton of old tools for use.  I also recently acquired a sizeable amount of extra tools that I'll want to part with.  As, I consider myself a user and not a collector.
So, here I am, needing assistance with identifying and restoring stuff and things.  Y'all know more than I.  I hope.
I hail from near Fredericksburg, VA.  Starting a gentleman's farm.  And trying to find a niche in the woodworking world.

Cheers,
Bill

I've been doing some of the same.  Braces, bits, hammers, saws of all kinds and names, scrapers, planes.

Hey and welcome, I'm also a "new old" or "old new" around, just looking for some help regarding an old set of tools. Took me forever to find this forum, but it was worth it...

Best regards
Hannah
