Need help ID'ing 3 braces I've aquired
« on: September 21, 2017, 07:32:41 PM »
First one is small, 11 1/2 inches overall with 7 inch sweep. Unconventional bit holder and no markings whatsoever. First 4 photos marked OLD.
Second one is marked MADE IN JAPAN only and has an 8 inch sweep and an unconventional pad. Second 4 photos marked JAPAN.
Third one is marked ONIX only and has a 10 inch sweep. Third 3 photos marked ONIX.
Any identifying makers and when made will be greatly appreciated

That first one looks like a brace from a kids' toolkit.  Can't help on the others, although both the Japanese braces probably are from the period that Japan occupied the same space in the export manufacturing world that China does now: a lot of inexpensively made products for the $1 bin at the hardware store and similar places.
