My 70,00 Pound Lawn Ornament
« on: October 30, 2011, 02:10:30 PM »
At the end of my post, Using BigToolsToday, I posted a picture of an old crane that I rescued. In the end, I lost the battle to save it when my brother scrapped it without telling me.

Ide of loved that thing in my yard, however I dont know who would complain first my parents or the neighbors.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

Had a flashback of this thread today, went past the new bridge construction and sitting there was a big modern Link Belt, big sucker too....
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

To sad.  I hate to see any old metal to have survived that long then be taken to scrap.
