unknown usage

 Heres a tool I bought Thurs because it was old and I didn't know what it was used for. Can't read info on back of yoke. End piece pivots about 90 degrees. Would seem to be some kind of press. Large handle suggests use of considerable force.

It is a box scraper/scraper plane without the blade.  It you have a hand scraper blade, it may fit.  I remember the first one of those that I had, which also did not have a blade.  It was hard to figure out.  Look on the cam part, it may be an Atkins or Stearns.

Ahh, good, I'm not the only one that ended up with a weird scraper that way ; P
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

 Makes sense. I can see how it would work. Agree Stearns or Atkins might be maker. I probably have a blade now to find a box.
