PLOMB WF-38 1/2" Drive Ratchet Wright Field Series 1942-1945. This version has the small forged letters (not stamped). The following ratchet came in the ugly tool box I bought recently. I cleaned and lubed it - it is 100% functional. The only problems are cosmetic - the handle is rough looking (and there's that hole - I'm not sure if it belongs there or not) and the selector lever is missing a chunk off the end.
It works as it should. With the lever pointing to the head it has two positions "on" and "off"; with the lever pointing to the handle there's a third middle position which is "locked" - the ratchet is fixed and can be used like a fixed bar to work a socket back and forth.
