At the time I loaded this in my vehicle I wasn't sure it was the good deal I was hoping for. I hoped that the top box would be usable - I need one at work. I hoped the bottom box would be sellable and some of the tools sellable so I could at least recover my $80 and have a decent top box.

On arriving home I examined the top box and except for a few dings it looked repairable. Both boxes are by Metal Box & Cabinet Corp. The top box is MB206 and there is a number 60 stamped, maybe a date code? Can't find the model number on the bottom box but there's an MBC sticker. The bottom box is missing it's separate front panel (it hangs on the back of the cabinet when not locked). The lock bar for the drawers may be missing or it may be still in the box.

Today I banged out some dents, straightened the lid support so it doesn't look like it was ever twisted, and scraped off a lot of the yellow paint. It is now ready to sand and paint. I'll need a new camlock. It will be a nice box when done. All the drawer slides in both boxes function perfectly.
The guy I bought it from said it was from a military base. The name or nickname Guba is on the front. Under the top layer of paint the name Toot Toot Whitaker. Under that layer is the original orange with some black paint which was either another name or an MBC label. On the back more black paint with the name I Padoch.
Some of the tools are a bunch of speeders - two Snap-Ons and a Plomb WF-23 and several others. Two beat up Plomb WF-38 1/2" ratchets. The New Britain ratchet I posted earlier today and a Fairmount slightly rusty box wrench 1-1/4" x1-5/16". There are several nice wrenches with good chrome and lots of sockets mostly very good. Of course about 3/4 of the sockets are Taiwan, Japan and China - even Malaysia. There may be some complete socket sets - I haven't sorted them yet but there were a lot of Husky and Stanley sockets. I found 4 Par-X sockets.
I'll post some more pictures as I go thru the stuff and when I make some progress on the top box. I am very happy the box is a good one. Now I'm not so jealous of Evildoc's sweet Par-X $15 box!
