Stevens/Walden socket set
« on: July 06, 2016, 11:55:08 AM »
What do you think this socket set was made to fix.  Some sockets are 1/4" drive, some 3/8" and some 1/2" and some have holes in the center.

Yes, it is probably military, the box is painted OD.

I'm not convinced that the box and the tools belong together.

I'm sure the sockets fit in the box as they are held in by clips that fit perfectly.  Also the drivers are also probably correct as I have another set just like this one although the box is more weathered.  However, something is missing as there is nothing to drive the 1/4" sockets.

I can't help with WHAT it was supplied with but I am certain it was military. it seem's that military contracts kept SW alive until their ultimate demise. the only place I have ever seen SW tools (and in abundance) is a military surplus store.
