Hello from Central/Western NY
« on: September 25, 2015, 09:10:50 AM »
Hi everyone,
I'm from the Finger lakes region of NYS. Just wanted to introduce myself to you all. I've been wrenching all my life thanks to my dad. He was a self taught mechanic who owned a service station from 1957 to 1964, then worked as a machine repair mechanic for a major copier company. Anyway, I learned from a young age to use and care for tools. I have always done repair and maintenance on my own cars. I've also done body off, ground up resto's on a 1956 Chevy, 1985 Jeep CJ7, and a 1981 Camaro. The last two were for each of my sons. We had a great time on these projects and I was able to pass down the knowledge that my dad passed to me.
I only have pics of the Camaro on this computer so more to come. BTW, I did these resto's in a one car garage with hand tools, a vice,  and a set of torches.

Welcome from the great Northwoods of northeast Kansas.  Really!
I was in your part of the country this summer and it was beautiful!
Even made a couple of purchases up there.
You will find the folks here to be pleasant and knowledgeable.  They have helped me more than once.
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.
