HOWDY from tennesse
« on: September 30, 2011, 05:46:05 PM »
Howdy, Joe here. Loved the trains when I lived in PA near Scranton(Steamtown-DL&W), Got to see the Big Boy run to the Poconos. I found this site while searching for info on old Lackawanna wrenches I have and other old wrenchs, even got a pair of ice hooks from the old ice houses in Gouldsboro- old home town. Now live in Sevierville Tn Jack of all trades master of none ( maybe goofing off counts). Looking forward to helping if I can- limited time on computer

Welcome from Noth Carolina, I had a great uncle the was an operator on the Lackawanna. I've done some railfanning around Binghamton and towards Scranton. The Big Boy is live now? I hadn't heard that.

Welcome : )

>Scranton(Steamtown-DL&W),

Rode on Steamtown's 'one track ride' when it was in Vermont, was sad when it went under, but at least they saved the rolling stock....
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Belated welcome from Texas, Joe! I've been working extra nights this week due to one of the dispatchers being out sick.
