Hi All,
I am a tool enthusiast for many years, helped a collector (Alan Sellars, Marietta Georgia) display his tools (10,000 plus), then installed the presented/mounted ones in a local History Museum after he died.
He was always very generous with the ones he did not want to display, sold me at his cost many stonecarving and other tools, and gave me lots of parts and broken pieces. Also bought many items when his widow auctioned of the remainder of odds-and-ends in his toolshed. As a sculptor I use what I can as tools, but I also use the ones I can't use as 'found objects' for inclusion as sculpture.
More to follow,
Cheers - Don
