The smallest Blacksmiths vise ever...

I don't know for positive if this is the smallest ever, but it has to be close.  Everything functions as it should.  The handle even slides back and forth.  It is made completely of brass and appears to be somewhat old, as it has accuired a nice patina.

Length is 3 13/16 in. from the top of the jaws to the bottom of the post.  Jaws are only 11/32 in. wide.

It does not have a name, but does have an 'M' cast into it.

No, this really is a very small blacksmiths leg vise.  There is no hole through the post since the screw threads would get in the way.  Note the plate on the rear that is used to attach it to a bench.

These pictures are of a small jewelers pin vise.  Note the hole through the handle for wire to go through.

Turn nut, I have quite a few small vises.  Most have jaws under 2 inches wide.
