I use to have a carbuator parts book and repair manual that had a big ad for those. I believe the catalog was from a company called UMC.I sold the book on eBay, but kept all the pages on Rochester single barrel models B and BC used on early Chevy six engines.

The two smaller of my wrenches have U-M-S on them. Could that be the same company?

I believe GM and Kelsey-Hayes were the first ones to use these wrenches. I'm thinking early braking systems couldn't be made to not leak under higher pressures in "newer" cars, so a wrench had to be made to safely torque those fittings down. Then they were cross- trained over to A/C service, which is where I use them. This is all just guesstimation, of course.

It probably was UMS. It was about 10 years ago when i sold the book. In 40 plus years of buying and using tools, i have never seen one of those wrenches in person. I have seen lots of pictures of them and copies of them.

A single or double flare end? Give it a long soak in ATF/acetone and inspect the pins carefully.  So long as they all give a little and aren't broken, the wrench is probably still useable.

I went to the Habitat store and picked up several items.The best score was a CAM-LOC 5/8 single end wrench.No rust, no former owner owner names or damage. Cad. finish. FORGED TOOL STEEL. PAT.NO.2550010. Other side CAM-LOC. T.K.F.CO.DETROIT 2. U.S.A. Sorry no pictures yet. My daughter said she will come over Thursday and help me understand my new computer. She said i have to quit scratching pictures on cave walls and move into the electronics age.

All but one you can't even tell what brand they are. Literally the ends just look like one piece.

Their so far gone, I guess they came from the scrapyard for a reason. I don't know we're they came from but they had a rough life.
