Sunnen cigar holder

 Well it looks like it might work and I never found where they got a patent for this particular tool. very handy for the mechanic with short fingers. Anyone doing a valve job on WwII vintage car. I loan tools.

Here's a couple of other styles to compare. Long one is  CF7 Clark-Feather, Short one is KD605
Several makers of these it appears

Used to insert valve keepers.

Not so much to insert them, inserting them is easy, making them stay put while you put the valve stem through the nasty wicked strong spring that wants to rip your fingers off is the trick. Nice to have a tool in there instead of fingers....
(The keepers keep the valve stem stuck in the valve spring)

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.
