Antique carriage, wagon and buggy wrenches wanted
« on: July 13, 2014, 08:08:50 PM »
Hi everyone,

I specialize on antique horse and carriage/wagon/buggy items.

I am looking for wrenches that are the style in the photograph that I am attaching.   All sizes and condition will be considered.   I am also including a third picture of a different style wagon wrench I am interested in.

I am also looking for wrenches marked "Dalzell, Studebaker, Brewster, Healey, Sheldon" etc....

I am also interested in anything that you have for sale antique horse and carriage related.  Lamps, books, prints, etc....

Email me what you have and lets make it happen.

Sigh

could you at least introduce yourself and give us a little info about your interest in the wrench collecting hobby, before you try to skin us?

thanks

Skip,

I am more than happy to introduce myself, but I want to be crystal clear - I am not trying to "skin" anyone as you suggest, and I really don't care for your comment regarding that.

I collect horse drawn carriages, wagon, buggies, etc... and am interested in the wrenches as they are complimentary to the vehicles. I am not an expert by any means, but do know what I am looking for. If you have anything feel free to send me pictures, details, etc....

Mike

Sorry

we get a post about once a week from someone looking to buy or sell wrenches. Usually it's not a serious collector, but someone interested in the monetary value of the tools.

Let me  try this again ; perhaps we can get off on a better foot

We are always glad to welcome serious collectors of old tools. especially wrenches.

would you be so kind as to go to the "welcome board and introductions" section and tell us a bit about your interest in the hobby.

many of us here are interested in the kinds of wrenches you have mentioned and would love to know more about them.

Thank you.

Yes, please introduce yourself in the Introduction Forum. We like to know a little about the people we are dealing with , both as buyers and sellers.
Several members here are interested in the same tools you are, and probably have some you might want to buy.

As Skip said, we have a lot of new members who ask for value or ID, then just disappear.

I wish to apologize to the members here for my unacceptable behavior on this.

It is not my place to "moderate" or enforce the rules here.

I was unconscionably rude to a potential new member, who apparently has taken my rudeness to heart and left us.

He certainly could have been  a great asset to the list with his knowledge of this genre of wrenches.

So, because of my poor conduct, we have lost a potential new member and a source of knowledge.

It wont happen again.
