Any Snap-On Clock Experts Out There??
« on: March 29, 2014, 02:56:40 AM »
A neighbor has entrusted me wit hthis Snap On Clock to find it a good home, but first I was wondering if anyone knew about how old it was?  It certainly has the same logo( the large "one" logo for the 12 points on the clock face that were used on that 70th anniversary SO ratchet set I posted last month, but that's not much of a lead.  NO foxy chicks on this one too, so does that make even rarer?.......lol.  It's about 2' lwide and a foot long.  I realize they're only worth what someone will pay for them, but then there's none of thes listed on ebay either...

Thanks for the offers of wisdom

DWM,

The 70th Anniversary would be 1990.

The screwdriver handles in the picture would date it to about 1993 or later.

I know on a advertising clock for coke I Was able to open it up from the back an there's a date tag on inside.

Not sure if that's how that one is, but it might be worth checking. Depends how hard it is to access the back.

"Snap-on Worldwide, Inc" is/was a sales division, I first see it listed 1994....
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I had one of these a few years ago, came off the tool truck as a gift for spending some money. Nice looking clock made to look a bit retro.
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

Thanks all.  It's not geting much action on Ebay at a $20 opening bid.  The clock is accurate though!!
