The Hjorth Lightning pliers are huge!  Is  that the 12 in version? Photo 1 directly north of the two really clean Eifel Plierenches.
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

Yes that is 12 inch size Unfortunately they are pitted and don't have correct pivot bolt.
These three little gems I like a lot. the little cast wrench is John Deere 124. The middle tool is a cotter pin extractor( I think it says Sur Tools Chicago pat appl)
the other plier is a Diamond Edge DE7 Shapleigh Hardware Co ST Louis

That roll-up is a Mac combo set 1/4 to 7/8 Bag is rough but is original Mac of Sabina, ohio

Wow, that is a lot of tools! And yes, very clean too. I think you'll come out good no matter what choice you make.

Got Saturday auction tools unboxed. I miscounted tickets actually bought 66 lots. Even counting some tied together pieces as one I counted 200+ items. Like I counted the Mac combo set in roll-up as one. Now to decide;do I keep it;do I send it all to 1930 for free, do I send it to auction;do I e-bay it;do I take it to York. Decisions, desisions decisions.

I vote for  the second option but I guess I am a bit biased.
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

3rd picture down dead center a little to the left, Id be interested in the dark handled small hammer if it is avail, I can already feel the swing of that guy.

Now that's a haul. It looks like fun just sorting through it all.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.

who gave that right to me.

High grade them. Keep what fits with your collection.

Ebay = lots of work & they get a lot of your gm.

Auctions, good if advertised well and has tool people there / lots of tool lots.

If money isn't a problem, I would send at least some of it to 1930. That would show him.

How is that York auction? Is it reasonable / good value?

What a fun problem to have........

MVWC auction at York is a fun time. Bus does a good job of cataloging and pointing out flaws in tools. Some high end stuff but enough average stuff to keep you interested. The sell and trade session Fri morning is kinda like that garage sale that John described in his April fool post only its real.

I think I am going to have to drive out to York to see what you sell!

Jim, Those Diamond Edge DE7 pliers are neat. They can also be found marked Keen Kutter. If you are going to sell the small tape measures bring them to York. I might be able to lessen your load a little.

Tapes will come to York.Only reason I bought them was they were first item to sell and you can't buy everything if you don't buy first item. Not sure there is anything special in them(didn't look at them before sale).
Pair of DE7 pliers on E-bay item 301574337896 $90 plus 5.95 shipping I paid considerably less for mine.

Jim, Don't really need to practice for the auction just keep your hand up, the auctioneer will take care of your bids.

A good rule of thumb for auction bidders "If you think the auction item is going too cheap bid more. If you think it is going too high bid less."

Bus, your method of keeping your hand up until auctioneer quits talking works well. It got me the bid 35 times at York auction
