Anyone have any information on this wrench? 5/8 box marked crane on one side and 28827 on the other. Thanks.

Crane made faucets and valves, so I would lean more toward valve handle then wrench as such....

Is the opening a nice even size ? like 3/4 ?
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I would agree on it being a valve handle to a Crane valve.  Interesting note:  Before Nazi Germany came about - Crane, in the 1920s and before, had the swastika as their logo.  I have both Crane valves and valve handles in the shop.
