Something a Bit Different

Hmm, isn't that one of those things for making glass bottles into cheap vases and cups and things?
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Looks to me like it is for scratching glass rods or tubes to cut them.

It's a bit small for bottles but it does seem about right for tubing. I figured it was to cut glass tubing. Something I've never had a need to do but I'm prepared now.
