One for The Machinists On Here

Some Special Machinst Bit i Found today!

Only Markings are (1 DIV.=.0001 ON Dia.

Has a Measuring Wheel that Doesnt Look like it Does anything But Spin around the Bit...It Doesnt Adjust anything Like Micrometers Do...Almost Looks like it Is Meant to Go In a Chuck/Drill

Its Aprox 5 1/4" Long and 1 3/4" In Diameter!

Any Idea What This is Used for?

Small boring head for mill or jig borer. Single edge tool clamps in end and other end goes in collet not chuck. Chuck will damage shaft. Hole is drilled undersize and then boring head tool is moved out with graduated dial.
