1917 Motor world had a nice article on what was available for valve lifting and lapping tools.

Includes the mysterious snake-wrench lifter also...

I wonder if you can still get Perfect Valve Grinding Paste ?

Thanks for posting. I have a " Snake " lifter I've been trying to sell , but wasn't sure of the date.
I had had it at a swap meet yesterday , got handled a lot , but no sale.
People find it very interesting .
It goes back up on the tool board.
