IHC 509
« on: February 11, 2013, 01:43:17 PM »
Acquired a IHC 509 wrench today. As you can see it is not the Osborne oew s wrench. It is the one with the 13/16 square on one end. Does anyone know what it was used on ? The other ( 509's S shape oew) were used on Osborne equipment and I suspect this wrench was too but am looking for confirmation. Gil lists this wrench in his IHC wrench list and shows he has one of these but this wrench doesn't appear in his pictorial list nor do I find picture of it in Rathbone. Any info on usage appreciated.

I beg to differ.  P. 363 in Rathbone's Osborne page.  It has a picture of the 509.  I also have a 509 in the original red paint.

Duh!!! I figured it was used on Osborne equipment and only looked on IHC pages. I suppose it will only get worse. Thanks for the wake up call.

If it helps anyone working on identify a 509 wrench, here's one with a lot of original red paint on it.
