At least you can oil it, the recent import motors are sealed up and non oilable, you just throw them away when the bushings run dry , I suppose.

Consumer grade motors with actual bearings in them in fractional sizes are rather rare in any event, have been for decades. The thing is, the bushed motors are more trouble free for the average joe idiot who wasn't going to oil the motor anyhow. Bearings *must* be oiled, bushed motors come with a honking big chunk of oil soaked felt in them.....
