Poor thing took a hard fall!
Are both sides cracked or just the repaired one?
Lateral adjusters are unnecessary and serve as impact absorbers. :)
So if the body will hold straight in use you can use this plane just fine until another body comes along.
You won't be able to slide it down a batten or trim a deep rabbet if you are rt handed, but learning to use your off side is really good practice, and it'll do just fine left handed.

PS really interesting about the stripped bodies at the swap meet Rusty. The whole psychology of it totally escapes me. A whole perfectly good plane sells for $20 and hardly any takers at that price.
A decent tote sells for 25 or more, and they beat the door down to get it?? They'll pay $15 for a blade!
I keep wondering when the perfectly good tool is going to be worth something?
I have 2 "extra" tools in storage. A 4 and a 5. Both are early sweetheart era. Both are near mint with close enough to 100% japanning, no rust, full blades etc etc. Both still have the stickers on the tote.
No way I am selling them for their current value, no way in the world. These are some of the best tools ever made by man. Someday they will be worth actual money.
