Haines, Alaska is the home of a truly unique museum.

The Hammer Museum is the world's first museum dedicated to hammers. The Hammer Museum provides a view of the past through the use of man's first tool. You will find over 1500 hammers on display, ranging from ancient times to the present. The museum is a 501c3 non profit organization which is run entirely by volunteers.

There is an antique store her that is going out of business and they have lots of artwork made like that hammer bike. Its pretty neat looking stuff but some of them were 3 grand a piece.

Here's a link to a nice article about a hammer collector in the lower 48.  The article is a little dated.  When I talked to Scotty last March he said he had over 14,000 hammers!!  I even managed to sell him 3 that he wanted.
