Big and heavy

Knowing this crowd this will go unguessed for about a minute and thirty seconds.   I just got it, was able to unload it without hurting myself.  Is missing one leg.  In the neighborhood of 200lbs.  Mole is one of the words cast into it.  I don't know why I bother, its just too easy in this bunch.  Must dig deeper.  OK, what is it, what did it do specifically, and if you're adventurous, when?

It took me a while to figure out it is sitting on 2 old tire rims....

I see a compound lever handle, and a blade, so , some kind of a shear? (banding tool is a good guess..) hmm

Awfull elaborate to be an ordinary bench shear ....

Does this help?  Technically, a band clamp, would be correct, but when the band/iron tire is heated, placed between the clamps, pressure is applied via a long bar, the tire can be made smaller, shrinking the diameter.  Which in its time was easier than cutting and rewelding the tire.  Now if I can find a roller.

Oh!  A tire shrinker!  Never seen one like these -- I'm used to more primitive tire shrinkers.  Cool!

i could surely use that I have several good 16 inc tires and some 15 inc rims I wonder if shrinking them will distort the name on the tire   bob w.

Lettering should be fine, but you'll need tubes
