Tool-alligator wrench/screwdriver tool
« on: June 08, 2011, 09:53:12 PM »
This was one of my earliest finds years ago. It is a combined alligator wrench and screwdriver. It is forged, possibly by a master toolsmith. The piece is 7 11/16 " long and symmetrical along its long axis.  I have not dated this tool, and would welcome estimates about that and its provenance.

Not a type I've seen before. It would be easy for a craftsman to have made that himself. 64longstep made me a very nice heavy screwdriver by forging a Craftsman ratchet handle to an H D Smith screwdriver.

Noel:

Thanks for explaining about those neat-looking tools. I thought, when I first saw them, the wrenches were created through computer wizardry. Not so! Hats off to 64Longstep!
