Eagle Claw by Dasco

Anyone know when Dasco got associated with Eagle Claw bolt holder pliers? Always a little curious about how long Eagle Claws were made in Chicago as all I've seen were marked Rockford,Il. Schultz shows both a Chicago pair and a Rockford pair. Maybe they were made in both cities concurrently. Anyway I acquired a pair Mon. that are marked Rockford but they also have a Dasco stamp. These are old enough that they still have 1912 patent info stamped on them. Assume patent info would be terminated after patent expired. Rockford and Chicago co listed as manufacturers in Datamp but Dasco not included.

Thread Resurrection!  I picked up a pair, although slightly different yesterday.  Anyone answer the original question or can tell me what mine are for?

The Herbrand's in the middle are a brake adjusting tool. Seems to me it was for Chevrolet but I can't remember the exact name or year.  I have a pair with all the info on a tag but of course they are buried in one of my many boxes.

If nobody chimes in with the correct information, I'll see if I can find them.

The pair in the foreground, look like a valve spring tool.

They are for Huck style brakes, and the Bonneys on the bottom are batter cable pliers.  What I was actually looking for is information, like the OP's question, about the Eagle Claws.  Much more detailed pics here: http://toolarchives.com/node/1754

I dont even know about dasco. Who were they? Im guessing something auto supply co?

Most of what Dasco makes are striking tools used in the construction trades.

looks handy for paint cans other that that it's just a novelty.......unless I start demolishing doll houses, then i'm set!

I have one of those and it works well for finish nails and small trim. I recently used it a lot taking some 1/4 round off the kitchen cabinets.

Pretty much a single use tool. 
We bought a couple dozen when the Dollar place had them and Santa left one for everybody.  About a week later the only one who could find hers was the secretary.  They come in handy, and get left where they get used.
